Despite the vast functionality offered by Spectra QEST products, and the myriad of user options that can be set to make the software operate in line with the customer's business, sometimes there is functionality that a client needs during an implementation which the system does not support. Spectra QEST has very experienced engineers that understand the industries in which the company operates who can accurately and efficiently interpret business requirements and deliver customisations.
Project Management
Project planning is critical to the success of any large software implementation, and Spectra QEST has the experience to guide its customers through this very important process. The scope of the service can range form simply answering questions on the products, to hands-on involvement in the preparation of a project plan.
Furthermore, for larger projects Spectra QEST has experienced project managers with specific skills in managing QEST implementations. We can embed a senior engineer in the customer's organisation for the duration of the planning and the roll out stages of the project. This process results in a dedicated, experienced specialist focusing on the project ensuring that client personnel are coordinated appropriately and the resources are adequate to achieve a timely, efficient and successful project outcome.
Installation
Expert personnel from Spectra QEST's Implementation & Support team can assist in (or perform) the installation of all QEST products. Alternatively, they can provide the IT personnel of the client with detailed documentation that outlines the correct installation procedures for all QEST products.
Integration
In enterprise software implementations, integration with third party systems can bring significant benefits to an organisation, but the integration process also introduces significant risks into a project. Spectra QEST has significant experience in integrating its software with third party products, and can help customers to identify and minimise the risk in the integration process. The products with which Spectra QEST software has been interfaced in the past include (but is not limited to) financial/ERP systems (e.g. JDE, Oracle Financials, SAP, BST, etc), and production systems (e.g. CommandAlkon's Eagle batch system, Compubatch, Scale Components, etc.).
In addition, QESTLab can be interfaced with testing equipment, to facilitate direct data capture. This can be done from almost any equipment capable of providing digital data, including balances and concrete crushing machines.
Training
Training of staff an area that can be the source of significant challenges in large implementations. Spectra QEST has developed generic training materials for is software, and can provide services to customise those materials for specific customers if desired. In addition, Spectra QEST staff have experience in providing training on all QEST products either on a one-on-one basis or in seminar-like fashion. Training courses have been developed that target different levels of staff, for example technicians, administration personnel, laboratory managers, all the way to advanced, expert users.
