American Engineering Testing Inc. Implements QESTLab, QESTField and Construction Hive
Spectra QEST announces that American Engineering Testing, Inc., a leading consulting engineering firm headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA, is implementing QESTLab, QESTField and Construction Hive across its 10 construction services laboratories.
Following a substantial business process review, American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET) decided to replace its disparate, aging and unsupported Laboratory Information Management System with a centralized, enterprise level system. AET wanted to improve the efficiency and quality of its operations by electronically registering samples and entering data in the field. AET also sought to standardize its laboratory processes and the appearance of its test reports across its 10 construction services laboratories. Finally, AET wanted the ability to quickly and easily retrieve and tabulate large sets of test results for analysis and reporting purposes.
The implementation of QESTLab (a Laboratory Information Management System, or LIMS), QESTField (a Field Data Capture System) and Construction Hive (a Report Distribution Platform) was able to effectively meet these goals and provide AET with its desired competitive advantage.

Work requests are made immediately available to field staff, who are able to record field data electronically, resulting in measurable improvements in report turnaround times.
