Fugro Implements Spectra QEST’s Quality Platform

Spectra QEST today announced that Fugro, one of the world’s leading advanced geotechnical engineering companies, is implementing Spectra QEST’s quality platform in its laboratories around the world. The solution will be implemented in six major testing facilities in Europe (Paris, London, Arnhem, and Leidschendam), the USA (Houston) and Singapore, as well as in Fugro’s entire fleet of exploration vessels (roughly ten ships).

Fugro’s testing vessels will be utilizing the software.

Spectra QEST’s quality platform which will be utilized in this multi-million dollar project includes QESTLab and Construction Hive. This platform of products will form the basis of a centralized, integrated solution that will be enhanced to cater for Fugro’s needs.

Spectra QEST is in the process of building a highly technical extension on top of its quality platform, specifically to meet Fugro’s advanced geotechnical engineering requirements. It is also the first time that Spectra QEST’s products will become multi-lingual.

Fugro Geoservices Manager, Piet van Goudoever is pleased about the transformative potential that this project has for his company. “We have found a valuable partner in Spectra QEST. We see this project as an opportunity for Fugro to achieve a deeper, tighter level of integration between our various operating companies engaged in advanced geotechnical engineering around the world,” he said.

Stephan Mavrakis, Spectra QEST Director, is excited that Spectra QEST is extending the capability and reach of its award winning quality platform and said, “This project provides us with the opportunity to achieve two main things. One, to go global with our solution; to extend our presence into markets we have not serviced before in Europe and Asia. And two, to expand our technical platform; to develop world-class technologies for advanced geotechnical engineering. We are very excited to be given the opportunity to work on a transformative project with one of the world’s most sophisticated engineering companies.”
