QEST Platform 4.62 and QESTField iOS
Spectra QEST is excited to announce the QESTField iOS app launching alongside QEST Platform 4.62.
With the QESTField app coming to iOS, all the power of QESTField Forms can now seamlessly be used on both Android and Apple devices. To celebrate, the Android app has also been updated with a new look and feel making the QESTField Forms user experience more intuitive and efficient.
Adding to the enormous flexibility of the QEST Platform, system administrators are also now able to define custom fields for their client and project records. These fields can then be mapped to Forms, allowing them to be pre-filled when a template is downloaded.
QESTField Forms allows field personnel to use customized and client-provided reports and templates for data collection as part of the QEST Platform workflow with little set-up time. QEST Platform administrators can quickly and easily define report templates for activities such as project-specific field inspection and other specialized data collection efforts with QESTField Forms. Field personnel who may be working in areas without continual internet connectivity can now enter data and work offline by downloading QESTField Forms templates prior to entering the field and then uploading data and observations when an internet connection is available.
QESTField Forms Mobile Application
Key data from the QEST Platform database, such as project information, will be pre-filled in the template when the field user downloads assignment forms for the day to their mobile device using the new QESTField mobile app or the QESTField website. The field user enters their data directly on the final deliverable, ensuring that the customer will see exactly what was recorded. Once a report template is downloaded to a mobile device, data entry on the form can occur offline, with all completed forms synchronizing back to the QEST Platform system when connectivity is restored.
After a pre-filled form is downloaded to the user's device, data entry can occur offline with an internet connection required only to synchronize the form back to the server for approval and publishing. It is possible for technicians to download all necessary forms to their device before going into the field, where connectivity may be limited, to complete their work.
Give field users the ability to approve and distribute forms directly from their devices, based on their user rights. This allows for quick turnaround times or the ability to leave a "copy" of paperwork in the field electronically. Whereas paper can only be in one place at a time, information in electronic format is available to all users with the requisite rights.
QESTField Forms provides Spectra QEST's customers with enormous flexibility, power and speed in reacting to changes in project reporting or data collection requirements. Forms may be distributed via email or directly to Construction Hive, allowing forms to share the same workflow as all other QEST Platform reports.
List Custom Fields
System administrators are now able to define custom fields for their client and project records. This ensures that any information that must be captured about a project, can be. Custom fields can be populated from within QESTLab by users with the required user rights or by third party interfaces.
Any information stored in these custom fields can subsequently be mapped to form templates or external test report templates.
Availability and Purchase
The iOS QESTField app is distributed through Apple's Volume Purchase Program.
