QEST Platform 4.94
Spectra QEST is pleased to announce the release of QEST Platform 4.94. This release ensures that the QEST Platform remains the most complete product covering field and laboratory concrete testing. The improvements to key Australian concrete testing workflows in this release mean that customers making use of this functionality continue to receive the best user experience and efficient, standards-compliant data capture processes of any product on the market.
Air Content Recording and Reporting
Support for optional reporting requirements around air content measurements has been improved as has the approach to recording measurements for the air content test. Entering air content data now allows QESTLab users to choose between entering all gauge readings and aggregate corrections or simply entering the final result. QESTField captures all gauge readings and aggregate corrections ensuring it is the only source of data collection required.
This allows for the most efficient workflows while ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements regardless of whether the QEST Platform is the first entry point of the data in the field with QESTField or whether field technicians record the results on paper first and these are re-entered in QESTLab.
Drying Shrinkage Improvements
Capturing data for the curing of concrete shrinkage specimens in both QESTLab and QESTField is now better than ever. More granular capture of this data allows for better guidance of field and laboratory staff at all stages of the sampling and curing with regards to whether or not standard curing conditions have been achieved.
Concrete Laboratory Testing Equipment Capture
Laboratory testing for concrete has received an update as well with smarter capture of the equipment used for laboratory testing across all of the laboratory testing workflows and products related to concrete, in all regions. Better capture of these equipment items now exists in the QESTLab sample screen, the concrete specimen bulk entry electronic worksheet, the concrete diameter average document, QEST Weigh and Measure (QWS) and the QEST Crush Station (QCS).
Auditing of automated versus manual data entry has also been enhanced to better track which operations are making full use of automated equipment interfaces in testing concrete and which operations have opportunities to improve efficiency even further.
Updated RMS B80 Support
The QEST Platform now has full support for the tests defined in the RMS B80 for both Self Compacting Concrete and High Workability Concrete. Intelligent specialized workflows exist in QESTField to assist the technician in carrying out the correct test at the right time, recording the appropriate value and running verification tests where required.
As always, a multitude of general usability improvements have also been introduced to the QEST Platform with this release including, but not limited to:
• All lists in QESTField now boast smart search and auto-complete
• Data entry in Australian commercial tester concrete QESTField workflows has been made more efficient through the import of mix details and auto setting of F’c from grade where mix details are not imported
• A minor redesign of the Australian concrete sample provides more space between data elements in QESTLab and means that optional reporting controls are better explained
