Spectra QEST Announces QESTField Forms Release

Spectra QEST is excited to announce the newest addition to the QEST Platform, QESTField Forms. QESTField Forms allows field personnel to use customized and client-provided reports and templates for data collection as part of the QEST Platform workflow with little set-up time. QEST Platform administrators can quickly and easily define report templates for activities such as project-specific field inspection and other specialized data collection efforts with QESTField Forms. Field personnel who may be working in areas without continual internet connectivity can now enter data and work offline by downloading QESTField Forms templates prior to entering the field and then uploading data and observations when an internet connection is available.

QESTField Forms Work Flows

QESTField Forms Template Creation and Key Data Import

Key data from the QEST Platform database, such as project information, will be pre-filled in the template when the field user downloads assignment forms for the day to their mobile device using the new QESTField mobile app or the QESTField website. The field user enters their data directly on the final deliverable, ensuring that the customer will see exactly what was recorded. Once a report template is downloaded to a mobile device, data entry on the form can occur offline, with all completed forms synchronizing back to the QEST Platform system when connectivity is restored.

QESTField Forms Efficiency Gains
QESTField Forms reports can be signed and distributed directly from mobile device, if appropriate. This allows for quick turnaround times or the ability to leave a "copy" of paperwork in the field electronically. Whereas paper can only be in one place at a time, information in electronic format is available to all users with the requisite rights.

QESTField Forms Offline Data Entry

After a pre-filled form is downloaded to the user's device, data entry can occur offline with an internet connection required only to synchronize the form back to the server for approval and publishing. It is possible for technicians to download all necessary forms to their device before going into the field, where connectivity may be limited, to complete their work.

QESTField Forms Seamless Integrations
Publishing is available via email directly or to Construction Hive, allowing forms to share the same workflow as all other QEST Platform reports. Forms are delivered as PDF files and recognized as reports in the QEST Platform allowing substantially the same processes and controls to be put in place for a consistent user and customer experience. Data can be extracted out of synchronized forms for inclusion in management and summary reports or inclusion on other company dashboards or information systems.

QESTField Forms runs on the same infrastructure as the existing QESTField functionality. As such, there is no need for major infrastructure updates to take advantage of the QESTField Forms functionality for QEST Platform clients who are already using QESTField, Spectra QEST’s previously available field application which will now be known as QESTField Tests.

QESTField Forms Flexibility

QESTField Forms provides Spectra QEST's customers with enormous flexibility, power and speed in reacting to changes in project reporting or data collection requirements.

QESTField Availability and Purchase
The QESTField app is currently available for devices with the Android operating system at the Google Play store. A version for devices using iOS will be coming to Apple's App Store later this year.
