Spectra QEST Continues Strong Growth and Appoints Dirk Janek as CEO

Spectra QEST continues to experience strong growth having signed up five new customers in the last six months of 2016 and is building capacity to support its expansion strategy in the United States, Australia and other strategic markets. The QEST Platform continues to demonstrate its extensive capability and adaptability, providing value to engineering testing and inspection consultants, materials producers, constructors and government agencies.

Dirk Janek, CEO.

The company has never before been as well-resourced and having recently taken on two new implementation and support resources (and looking to fill a third position shortly) now totals 33 people with offices in Adelaide, South Australia and Sacramento, California and staff permanently stationed in Melbourne, Victoria and Chicago, Illinois. The company’s heavy investment in product development continues with some exciting new functionality about to be released and more coming to market later this year.

In line with the company’s strategy Spectra QEST is pleased to announce the appointment of Dirk Janek to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Dirk is a long standing board member and shareholder who has held various positions at Spectra QEST over the last 25 years, most recently as Executive Director, Technology. He has intimate knowledge of all areas of the business positioning him well to lead the execution of the company vision with its strong focus on growth, product development and customer engagement.

"It is an exciting time at Spectra QEST with great opportunities and interesting challenges and I am thrilled to be taking on the role of CEO to help guide and support our people in realizing our vision," said Dirk Janek.

"Dirk has been the driving force behind our latest strategic plan, which aims to build on our recent and past successes, our strong industry knowledge, our team which is the strongest in our industry, our unsurpassed product depth and our incredible client list. His appointment to the role will result in additional focus and a more effective execution of the plan. It is the Board’s expectation that under Dirk’s leadership the company will double again in the next four-year period – as it has done repeatedly in the past," said Stephan Mavrakis on behalf of the Board of Directors.
