Spectra QEST Wins Business SA Export Award

Spectra QEST has won the Business SA Export Award in the Information and Communications Technology category. This award, which follows the company’s recent iAwards win, celebrates exporting excellence and recognizes Spectra QEST for its innovation and exporting success.

Spectra QEST received the award for “outstanding international success in the field of information and communication products, technology or services.” (http://business-sa.com/exportawards). The award was accepted on behalf of the company by Mr Stephan Mavrakis, Spectra QEST Director of Resources and Markets, at an exclusive luncheon at the National Wine Centre on Friday 11th October 2013. The luncheon was attended by the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce, the Premier of South Australia, Mr Jay Wheatherill MP, the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Steven Marshall MP and the Adelaide Lord Mayor, Mr Stephen Yarwood.

The award was presented by Mr Nigel McBride, Business SA Chief Executive Officer, who said, "These Business SA Export Awards highlight our local innovative and internationally competitive companies based right here in South Australia, emphasizing our ability to compete on a global stage."

Spectra QEST exports its industry leading software to international markets including North America, New Zealand, the Middle East and Europe. Spectra QEST also has customers in all Australian states and territories. Its customers include leading international construction companies, construction materials and geotechnical testing companies, construction materials manufacturers and government bodies.

Mr Michael Sautner, Spectra QEST Director of Finance and Infrastructure said, “We are honored to receive this award in recognition of the international success and continued growth our company is experiencing.   • Spectra QEST is pleased to announce that the 2014 Spectra QEST Prize has been awarded to Adelaide University student Thomas Barone. The Spectra QEST Prize is awarded to the student enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) at Adelaide University who obtained the highest aggregate of marks for courses in Level 2.
